Corregidor… The Return – January 14, 2012

Probably among one of the most recognizable “postcard scenes” of the City of San Francisco after photos of The Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, and cable cars is this picture of Victorian-era houses in a row on a street in San Francisco. These houses are also known collectively as “The Painted Ladies”. These houses are also seen in many San Francisco-themed Movies and TV shows, most notably "Full House."

After my post on Boracay a few days ago, a number of folks have been asking me about that cute little hotel we stayed at. The hotel is Astoria Boracay. It is located in Station 1 and is just a short walk to d*mall. It is quite new and according to the staff just opened last year around April 2010.

On the morning of November 13, 2011 right before the controversial Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight, I was browsing through Google Maps when I spotted the La Mesa Dam Eco Park. A few weeks earlier, my friend, Eufer, had posted some pictures when he went to the park. I was also looking for an interesting place to bring my dogs. So on this morning, I decided to take a quick trip to finally see the Eco Park which is somewhat nearby to where I live in Quezon City.

I’ve been to Boracay Island many times since my first visit in 2002 though my last trip was in 2008. There have been a lot of nice changes to the island and its facilities since then. Over the years, I have read complaints from folks who have complained about the changes to Boracay in the recent past. Pleasantly, I for one am happy with the current state of island, which according to Travel and Leisure is the #2 Island Destination in Asia and #4 in the world.
